 A look at the most attractive areas in the world for a potential business re-location.

As more and more companies wake up to the benefits of re-locating part or all of their business abroad, the biggest question is where to go?

Any relocation has to make sense from a business point of view in terms of meeting your needs without busting your budget. So what are the best options?

We have looked at the top 5 places to live and work at the moment, offering a wide range of choices for anyone who feels re-location may be just around the corner;

1. Germany: It may not be the first place that springs to mind when you think of re-locating, but Germany actually has a lot of things going for it. Its status as a European financial leader commands great respect around the globe and the economy has remained relatively stable in these troubled times for the Euro-zone. Average rents for a 2 bedroom apartment in Berlin begin at just under £1,000 a month which, depending on your salary, could seem quite reasonable.

2. China: With over 1.3 billion people, China is home to over 19% of the world’s population. The economic possibilities of re-locating to the country are as vast as they are obvious, with a number of global companies already outsourcing labour to the country. Rental costs are understandably high (coming in at around twice as much as Berlin for a 2 bedroom apartment) but the average salary will be in line with this.

3. Singapore: Offering similar growth possibilities to China without the extortionate external costs (approximately £2,000 per month for a 2 bedroom apartment rental), the advantages of re-locating to Singapore are obvious.

4. India: Mumbai, the Indian capital, houses a vast number of respected financial institutions such as the National stock exchange of India. It has a quickly developing consumer market and the benefits regarding climate and access to labour are clear. It is becoming one of the most highly prized areas for a potential relocation.

5. Belgium: Belgium’s secret weapon (and biggest advantage for anybody thinking of relocating) is that the economy is strongly globalised. This means that it is a magnet for international business. The most attractive area for any business re-location in the country is surely Brussels, where you can expect to pay approximately £1,200 per month for renting a 2 bedroom apartment.
