A guide to searching for property during the international relocation process
Once you have come to terms with the fact that you are going to be relocating, it is important to consider quite early one of the biggest issues..........the new house!
Every individual will probably have certain personal things which they will look for in their own accommodation, we have compiled a small list of what we think are some of the most important things;
1. Transport links: When searching for a new property one of the most obvious and critical points to consider is its proximity to established transport links. If you do not drive then you will certainly want to make sure that any train/bus which you need to use is as close by as possible. Nobody likes to have an epic journey to work each day as it starts things off on the wrong foot straight away.
2. Local schools: If you have children, then you will be aware how important it is to consider local schools into the equation. By carrying out thorough research before you move you can gain a good knowledge of where the best and worst choices might be. It is ideal if you can find a property within a reasonable distance of a few good choices, that way you can give yourself options if things do not work out first time.
3. Storage: For some people, less is more in terms of possessions. However, anybody with children will know that this is not always something you have a choice in. Some properties are built for storage with double garages and large attics so decide whether or not this is important to you straight away. When people are house hunting they often fall into the trap of considering style over substance. You may also be pressed for time given how fast the international relocation process can move, so get a firm grasp on what is important to you in a house straight away.
