An investigation into the best places for relocating abroad in terms of standards and quality of living
A new report seems to suggest that relocating part or all of your business to either France or Spain could be a great idea if you are looking to expand your business.
The two countries emerged top of a ‘Quality of Life’ Index produced by uSwitch looking into the places with the best quality of life in Europe.
Despite having the fourth largest average annual income in Europe, people living in the UK do not seem to enjoy the accompanying lifestyle as they came in last place.
The study looks at 16 different factors including average income, days of sunlight, price of food, fuel, life expectancy and many more.
This is the third time in a row that France has been rated as the best country to live in, despite having an average income which is £7k less than the UK.
Spain also ranks highly as they have a high life expectancy average and enjoy the highest holiday allowance in Europe of 39 days.
"Last year at least our neighbours in Ireland were worse off, now we can't even console ourselves with that,” said Ann Robinson, Director of Consumer Policy at uSwitch.
“We are now officially at the bottom of the pile. We may still be enjoying the fourth highest household income in Europe, but the high cost of living means that we're living to work.”
Relocating you’re your business to countries that put a greater emphasis on the quality of life could have a terrific affect on the morale of your staff.
Ultimately, this may then lead to improved results. However, there are a great number of different factors to consider when carrying out such a move.
Issues regarding storage, tax laws and cultural differences must all be researched thoroughly.
International relocation services can help you with several issues such as these and others, to ensure your relocation progresses as smoothly as possible.
