One of the top medical suppliers in the UK has used a relocation to search for company growth

One of the UK’s largest medical suppliers has relocated to larger premises, as it tries to meet the demand for its services.

Beaucare Medical supplies medical, nursing and hygiene equipment to hospitals, private care homes and individuals. The company has been operating for 19 years, and relocated to a new premises earlier this month.

The company’s last relocation was eight years ago, and was a huge success.

Beaucare Medical’s first relocation, after 11 years in business, put in motion the growth which has seen their company grow from eight employees to 30.

The company have stayed within the same business park in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, with its new premises just a stone’s throw from the old one.

The new site offers 25,000 sq ft of warehouse space – 15,000 sq ft more than their previous premises.

It also offers a client training room, product servicing area, meeting rooms, a new trade mobility showroom and improved logistics for goods in and out.

Beaucare Medical had been struggling to keep up with demand for its goods over the last 10 months, hindered by limited storage space in its warehouse.

The medical supplier hopes that with the relocation it will be able to expand to meet customer demand, as well as introducing new product lines and increased customer service.

Jonathan Brown is Managing Director of Beaucare Medical. He said: “Our market is somewhat different to the norm, with the ageing population and care home demand increasing daily.

The relocation will strengthen and assist our continued growth, along with ensuring continued customer satisfaction.”

Due in part to its expansion, Beaucare Medical will be a £10 million turnover business by 31st December 2012.

As a result of this, they will be recruiting sales, service engineers and warehouse staff to cope with increased demand and warehouse capabilities.
